Showcase
Kerry County Museum, Tralee
February 14th–28th 2026
A vibrant celebration of creativity and storytelling by young people from across County Kerry is coming to Kerry County Museum this February. The Create + Animate project will culminate in a public showcase of original stop-motion animations from 14th to 28th February.
All are welcome to visit the showcase, where participating children will have the opportunity to proudly exhibit their animations with the public, as well as family and friends.
About ‘CREATE + ANIMATE’
The Create + Animate programme has been delivered in schools throughout Kerry as part of a series of stop-motion animation workshops. Through the project, children developed key creative skills including story development, storyboarding, set and prop design, sound creation, animation techniques and basic editing technology.
The workshops explored a range of animation approaches such as found object, hand-drawn, cut-out and claymation, giving participants hands-on experience with each stage of the creative process. Teachers were supported to integrate the project with classroom learning, linking animation themes to other subjects including science, history and music.
