Stop-Motion Animation workshops. Open to 3rd Class up to Transition year students in Kerry.
‘CREATE + ANIMATE’ workshops developed conceptual, creative and storytelling skills, and focussed on the process of animation; from concept stage and storyboarding through to creating stop-motion animations.
The project covered;
story development and storyboarding
set design
prop design
music/sound design
stop motion animation
editing in the application ‘Stop motion studio’
The project also offered Class Teachers the opportunity for cross-curricular learning, whereby subject matter could be informed by another project the children are working on at school; such as a science experiment or history project.
Children will have the opportunity to share their animations with family and friends, as we will create an online gallery, where their work will be proudly showcased on completion.
Using the application ‘Stop Motion Studio’, children received an introduction to the following animation approaches;
