Children arrive and get settled with an intro workshop. Our tailor made intro activities include:

• Make a card for the birthday girl/boy

• Make a banner for the birthday girl/boy

• Design a birthday cake

• Make a party mask

• Painting at easels (more suitable for under 7 years)

• Make your own sketchbook

Children will be guided through some techniques and sketching their ideas. Then each child gets to make their own unique piece of art. Choose from;

• Imagine, Draw + Make clay workshop

• Block print your own tote bags workshop

• Table-top easel painting workshop

There are food options at our doorstep at the Stable Studio. Killruddery Yard, located just outside our door, is home to the Coffee Shop, Pizza Shed* and The Grain Store. You are also welcome to bring along your own food if you prefer.

Parties are adapted to suit the age of the group. Children should be of school-going age (at least 5 years and starting school in September ‘25).

Parties are 2 hours total, with the first 90 minutes dedicated to creative workshops, and the final 30 minutes dedicated to food, cake and singing!

Having celebrated parties at Killruddery for over 5 years, we find that 2 hours is that perfect sweet spot; enough time for children to experience lots of creative play without running the risk of becoming over-tired. We know that every child is completely unique, and we’ve designed the experience to be really stimulating for young, curious minds.

Ideally, we recommend capping your party number at 22 children for the absolute best party experience.

As you walk through Killruddery Yard, you’ll pass The Grain Store on your left and there will be an archway and gate directly in front of you, between the toilets and the farm shop. Walk through the archway and you’ll enter a small courtyard. The studio is just in front on your right. There will be signage welcoming the party boy/girl and their friends.

Of course! It’s your special day and the studio will be exclusively yours for the 2 hours of the party. We recommend coming along about a half hour before the party start time to decorate and drop off your cake, sweeties etc.

The Stable Studio is not suitable for food prep but you are welcome to bring along your own food or make an order from Killruddery’s Pizza Shed or Café.

We ask that you bring all your own food supplies.

There is one toilet and two sinks in the studio, and a number of toilets outside of the studio in Killruddery Yard.

You can check availability and make a provisional booking via the calendar at bottom of this page. We ask for a €50 deposit to secure your party time and date. The remaining balance is due on the day of the party and we accept card payments at the studio. Unlike many other party suppliers, we won’t charge you for any no-shows on the day.
