Join Me and The Moon as we get creative at our series of FREE pop-up art workshops at Muckross! We're honoured to be hosting a monthly series of creative activities in the heart of Killarney's beautiful National Park.

Children will led by demonstration and have the opportunity to explore the possibilities of Illsutation with our ‘Lakes and Legends’ workshops. We’ll have lots of fun experimenting with our ideas and seeing them come to life.

Timetabled workshops will take place at Muckross The Schoolhouse. Suitable for primary school children of all ages. Younger children are welcome to join in with the help of a parent/guardian.

Join us at Killruddery’s end of summer garden party, ‘The Last of the Summer Fling’ - a fun-filled day in Killruddery’s 17th century heritage Gardens.

Advance booking is advised but not essential as entry will also be available on the door, however priority entry will be given to those who pre-book.

Me and The Moon are excited to return to Mallow Arts Fest 2025!

We’ll be facilitating our ‘Build a Sustainable Future’ workshops this year using packaging and other recyclable materials.  For younger children, we’ll also have painting at easels. We can’t wait!

Workshops will take place throughout the day (11.30am-3.30pm with a break for lunch) at The Hibernian Hotel Function Room, Mallow.

Me and The Moon has had the pleasure of visiting a number of schools across County Wicklow in preparation for this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg. The children’s work has culmintaed in an exhibition, which will take place at The Stable Studio, Killruddery on June 7th.

Dance, Move, Draw Workshops at Kerry County Museum

Drawing and mark making workshops responding to movement and dance. Workshops are free and are suitable for all ages; 5-15 years. Workshops take place on the hour and last for approximately 30 minutes.

About our Dance, Move, Draw project
In the lead up to Cruinniú na nÓg, we facilitated workshops in schools around the county.  These workshops document dance and movement through drawing, painting and mark making. Participants explored different ways to move their bodies, taking turns to draw and dance. They explored how their bodies move and how they can replicate that movement in large-scale group drawings, and also smaller personal drawings and paintings.  On 7th June for Cruinniú na nÓg, there will be a video showcase and a final workshop which will be open to all.

Join Me and The Moon at Kerry Science Fest 2024!

Reimagining how we interact with our natural environment; how best can we live alongside nature? What have we learnt from the past? At this construction workshop, we’ll using recycled cardboard. We will create models and paintings of nature spaces and look at creative ways we can encourage biodiversity within.

Magic descends upon the heritage Gardens of Killruddery as all kinds of mythical creatures make their way to their woodlands, lawns, trees and ponds. This day is all about the senses. Families can expect to engage with earth, fire, water and air in a safe and playful environment, complete with plenty of play, music making and storytelling. You are invited to dress as your favourite fairy tale character, classic or contemporary hero, and join Me and The Moon for a host of creative activities.

Children's Art Workshops at with Me and The Moon at Collis Sandes House, Tralee

Cruinniú na nÓg is a day of free creativity for children and young people all across Ireland. To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg, children will explore cyanotype and monotype print using objects from nature. Weather permitting, we’ll venture into Collis Sandes Woods to collect found items from nature, which we’ll bring back and use as part of our workshop. Children will be led by demonstration and will have lots of fun in the making.

Join Me and The Moon at The Fruit Room studio, within the walled gardens at Killruddery, for a fun day of free creativity.

Draw, blot, cut, paste and paint at Cruinniú na nÓg 2024 with Me and The Moon at Killruddery. We will look at the walled garden with our artists eye, then return to the studio and together create a mural using blot printing, collage, drawing and paint. We're very excited to have the Hot Dots joining us on the day and providing music; adding to the atmosphere with hot rags, intricate instrumental arrangements and close harmonies.
