As with all our workshops, the emphasis will be placed on the process rather than the finished piece, enabling children to make their own creative choices and encouraging confidence in their work. Children will be fully immersed in nature at Muckross, such as farmyard animals, plots, flora, woodlands, as well as awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountains. We’ll go beyond the studio to explore and be inspired through outdoor activities such as nature trails and foraging, outdoor games and engaging with the farm animals. Children will also learn about Irish traditions and crafts at the farms, such as churning butter and visiting the blacksmith. It’s a jam packed camp! Please dress for mess and consider the weather as we plan to take advantage of our natural surroundings in the great outdoors.
