This month, we'll be celebrating Samhain Festival and all things spooky, with our Cardboard Construction Workshops.

Children will led by demonstration and have the opportunity to explore the eerie possibilities of cardboard :-) We’ll have lots of fun experimenting with our ideas and seeing them come to life. What will you make; masks, haunted houses, decorations and more!

Join Me and The Moon this Culture Night at Muckross The Schoolhouse, where we’ll be playing with photomontage. Photomontage is a type of collage using photographs as the main material. You can bring along your own photocopied image(s) and transform yourself to another world through drawing, cut and paste!

'BUILD' Workshop using Makedo tools

Join Me and The Moon as we create 3D farm Animals at Muckross The Schoolhouse! Using paper, paint and card, we'll learn about the Italian Sculptor, Alberto Giacometti, and how he twisted materials to create fantastic works of art.

What can you make with clay? Let’s brainstorm together and explore. We will begin by sketching - shapes and lines become the inspiration for your piece. Next we will discover techniques and methods to create though play the possibilities of clay.

Children are given the freedom to create just about anything from clay and, in doing so, will learn how to process all their ideas into one tangible piece of art. This workshop explores the tactile nature of clay, while promoting self-expression and independent thought. The theme of each piece can be left open to the interpretation of the child.
