Harvest-Inspired Printmaking Workshops at Killruddery

Monoprinting Workshops for families with Me and The Moon, celebrating the harvest season at Killruddery.

Create your own prints using both etching and mono-printing techniques. We will draw inspiration from the gifts of the harvest, from both the woods and fields, to create your own original prints that celebrate the land.

Suitable for children aged 5+. Younger children can get involved with the help of a parent/caregiver. Parents and children are welcome to the studio. Pre-booking is required via Eventbrite.

Join Me and The Moon as we get creative at our series of FREE pop-up art workshops at Muckross! We're honoured to be hosting a monthly series of creative activities in the heart of Killarney's beautiful National Park.

Children will led by demonstration and have the opportunity to explore the possibilities of drawing. We’ll have lots of fun experimenting with our ideas and seeing them come to life.

Timetabled workshops will take place at Muckross The Schoolhouse. Suitable for primary school children of all ages. Younger children are welcome to join in with the help of a parent/guardian. Parent and child workshop (no drop-offs).

Join Me and The Moon at our pop-up art workshops at Kerry County Museum! As part of our PAINT + MAKE Exhibition, which runs at the museum until March 22nd and features works by students from 14 primary schools from across the county.

Magic descends upon the heritage Gardens of Killruddery as all kinds of mythical creatures make their way to their woodlands, lawns, trees and ponds. This day is all about the senses. Families can expect to engage with earth, fire, water and air in a safe and playful environment, complete with plenty of play, music making and storytelling. You are invited to dress as your favourite fairy tale character, classic or contemporary hero, and join Me and The Moon for a host of creative activities.

Join us at the incredible Russborough this Christmas and create a unique decoration for your home, inspired by the woodlands surrounding Russborough. You will create unique Christmas decorations for your home, combining clay and nature for an individual piece.

Children of all ages are welcome along with their parent or guardian. Pre-booking is essential and groups are kept to a maximum of 12 children and workshops will be adapted to suit the age of each child. Suitable for children aged 5+.

This Heritage Week, us at Kerry County Museum and explore how tools were used in the past.

You can make your own clay pieces inspired by prehistoric tools on display in the museum gallery. These mixed-media workshops are drop-in, 30-40 minutes in duration and open from 11am until 4pm. All are welcome!

Join our pop-up event at Kerry County Museum on Saturday 13th May, where we’ll explore the wondrous stories of Saint Brendan the Navigator through mixed media workshops.

Did you know that Saint Brendan was born in Fenit, County Kerry more than 1500 years ago? He founded many monasteries in Ireland but he is most famous for his legendary voyage across the Atlantic. His travel adventures were written down in monasteries all over Europe and soon became a major medieval bestseller. Brendan’s tales of meeting mermaids, dragons and seamonsters are still well-known worldwide. To mark the feastday of Kerry’s seafaring patron saint on 16 May, children will be creating art inspired by some of the awesome creatures Brendan met on his travels. Children can either take their creations home or they can go on display in our pop-up exhibition.

The workshops are drop-in, open from 11am until 3:30pm (not timetabled). Children go for free as part of as part of KCM’s family offer and adults pay museum admission fee (€5) at the door. No pre-booking required.

It's Easter weekend, which means two things; it's family time and Killruddery gardens are back open for the season! To celebrate, we've created a very special pop-up event.

To honour the Spring season, we will be creating flowers, animals, trees, plants, wildlife and even fairies. Together, we will collaborate on a large mural which reflects the different areas of Killruddery's walled garden, namely;

• 'The Wilderness' woods

• The farm

• The 17th century formal gardens

Suitable for children aged 5–12 years, however younger children are welcome to participate with the help of an adult. Pre-booking essential.

The workshops will take place throughout the day at the Fruit Room Studio (see map for directions). 1-hour workshop times are:

• 10–11am

• 11.30am–12.30pm

• 1.30–2.30pm

• 3–4pm

Ticket price: €15 per child*

*Your ticket includes access to Killruddery Gardens for one child (attending the workshop) and one accompanying adult. Eventbrite may add an additional service fee.
